Just what I needed...

I got back my final writing assignment from my tutor today. The one I posted the opening to a couple of months ago, not that anyone gave me any reactions. :no:
The final paragraph (of her assessment) reads thus:
'... you don't say whether this is a short story or the beginning of a longer piece. Although it does stand alone, I feel there is potential to enlarge it and develop it. The theme is engaging, the parallels between the lives of the two women thought provoking and I could quite imagine it expanded to novel length.'
Great. As if I'm not struggling enough with the novel I'm already working on.
